To be short and to the point. The usb to the cooling pad for some reason stopped working for it to turn on, or even the green light to turn on. I had this for about a week before it started to do this and it no longer works at all. It is a pain to transfer from lap to table and vise versa. This is just my personal opinion so for someone else it may be what you are looking for.

Serves the purpose quite well - resolves laptop shortcomings. If laptops were built to be used as intended, the cooling fan would not be necessary. But H-P laptop computers are poorly designed, overheat and destroy motherboards. Now I transport a cooling fan in my backpack, in addition to my computer.

It does what it is supposed to do, but it's a little cheaply constructed. For instance I had to replace the male/male USB cord after only a few months because the cord developed shorts from the odd angle it is bent at because of the USB power location on the board (it is in the back... my laptops USB locations are on the sides) There are 2 USB ports on the board, which is nice because it gives you back a USB, but I found that one of mine no longer works, or rather it does work, but only if I have it tilted at a certain angle, the moon is at 25% and I have done my genuflection. I use the other USB exclusively and it gives no problem. Also there is a piece of plastic that is sliding around inside under the blades. I have no idea what it is, it may be something I dropped in there or maybe it is a piece of fan or who knows, I can't see it and it doesn't seem to be hindering the boards ability to cool so I'm not concerned. There are probably better coolers on the market but I have a 17" computer and this was the best one for that size/price I could find. If someone told me about another I would probably replace it.
